【摘要】:ThisBritishStandardprovidesguidanceontheergonomicsprinciplesimportantinthedesignandselectionofofficefurnituretoensurethatitwillavoidanyunduestrainontheuser.Theapproachtakenhasbeentoprovidetheinformationnecessarytogiveageneralframeworkwhichwillenablebothpurchasersanddesignerstounderstandanduseergonomicsinformationappliedtotheirwork.Thestandarddoesnotprovideafixedsetofprescriptiverulesand,asaconsequence,doesnotincludedetaileddimensionalrecommendations:suchdetailsaregiveninBS5940andBS7179:Part5.Thestandardindicateshowdesignersandpurchaserscanensurethattheneedsoftheend-userareatthecentreoftheirdecisions,thuscreatingasituationwhereworkcanbecarriedoutcomfortablyandefficiently.NOTE.Thetitlesofpublicationsreferredtointhisstandardarelistedontheinsidebackcover.
