【摘要】:ThisBritishStandardgivesguidanceonwaysinwhichcoldstressordiscomfortincoldindoorenvironmentscanbeevaluatedandcoldstrainreduced.Itdescribesthehumanresponses(physiologicalandbehavioural)tothecold,togetherwiththeinfluenceofdifferentworkingpracticesonthese.Therisksfromcoldenvironmentsarealsodescribed.ThisBritishStandardappliestothoseindoorenvironmentswhichareeithercoldbydesignorbyvirtueofadesignedprocess.Itdoesnotapplytooutdoorworkorthoseenvironmentswhich,althoughlargelyenclosed,arecoldbyvirtueofexposuretotheexternalclimate(e.g.unenclosedloadingbays,tyrefittingbays,farmout-buildings).ForthepurposesofthisBritishStandard,coldenvironmentsaretakentobethosewithanairtemperatureof12℃orless.NOTEThelowerlimitofapplicationofthisBritishStandardhasnotbeenrigorouslydefined.Insurveywork,temperaturesdownto-40℃wereencountered,withoneapplicationatalowertemperature.Attemperaturesbelow-40℃,hazardsnotconsideredinthisdocument,forexampletotherespiratorytract,areknowntoexist
