【摘要】:ThispartofIEC61300detailsaprocedurefordeterminingthesuitabilityofafibreopticdevicetowithstandtheenvironmentalconditionofhighhumidityandhightemperaturewhichmayoccurinactualuse,storageand/ortransport.Thetestisprimarilyintendedtopermittheobservationofeffectsofhighhumidityatconstanttemperatureoveragivenperiod.Absorptionofmoisturemayresultinswellingthatwoulddestroyfunctionalutility,causelossofphysicalstrength,andcausechangesinotherimportantmechanicalproperties.Degradationofopticalpropertiesmayalsooccur.Althoughnotnecessarilyintendedasasimulatedtropicaltest,thistestcan,nevertheless,beusefulindeterminingmoistureabsorptionofinsulatingorcoveringmaterials.
